As a die-hard sports fan, I couldn't sleep tonight before I posted this:
The "curse of William Penn" is broken, 25 years after the city's last sports championship and 28 years and 9 days since the last world series championship, the Philadelphia Phillies are the 2008 World Series Champions!

Well-deserved and well-played. Now we just have to listen to Mets fans and Red Sox fans whine all next year about how THEY deserved it... Go Phils!
And all we have to do is show them the picture of our guys holding up the trophy.
